Paul is a Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with 30 years experience, and has been running Concord Sport & Spine Physiotherapy for 25 years. He has worked with rugby union, rugby league & hockey teams, and has extensive experience in treating all types of spinal, muscular & joint injuries. He has wide-ranging & up to date knowledge in all areas of physiotherapy. In total, he spent six years at university to obtain his physiotherapy degree and two post-graduate diplomas – in Sport and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He continues to learn, attending weekend continuing education courses several times per year. Special Interests: Paul’s main sporting interests are Rugby League, Rugby Union, hockey, football, & cricket. He also enjoys playing grade hockey, jogging, kayaking, making furniture, playing the guitar, & following the St George Illawarra Dragons which he has done for over 40 years.

Professional Interests:
Paul has a special interest in back & neck pain, sporting knee injuries, & shoulder pain. He is currently undertaking research into management of acute and chronic low back pain, low back pain in construction workers, and patellofemoral (knee-cap) disorders, particularly in the area of instability (subluxations and dislocations). He does extensive continuing education & reading, keeping up to date with the latest research & methods. He writes regular literature reviews, and information newsletters for the medical profession & for his patients (see “Resource Library”).

Claudia Aliberti

Claudia Aliberti is a Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with postgraduate qualifications, who has worked in various health settings, mostly in private practice.

After completing postgraduate qualifications in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Claudia founded two Physiotherapy practices (in Annandale and Sydney CBD). Claudia’s extensive experience (over twenty years) and skills, as well as her dedication to achieve the best possible outcomes in injury management and recovery, saw the expansion of both practices prior to sale of the business to pursue other interests, including working as a Physiotherapy Consultant, tutoring in Physiotherapy, and volunteering. Claudia has served as a volunteer committee member for Musculoskeletal interest groups in the Australian Physiotherapy Association collaborating to enhance professional development and excellence in practice.

Paul Monaro was Claudia’s colleague at the Annandale practice as he established his own practice at Concord. They are both dedicated, highly qualified, health professionals who collaborate well to ensure positive outcomes in complex cases. Recently, Claudia has worked as an Injury Management Advisor in motor accident trauma, facilitating and enhancing health and recovery outcomes.

Jeremy is a diploma qualified remedial massage therapist with 16 years experience. He began studying massage as a tool to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Through his skills and experience he now also assists his clients with enhanced relaxation, improved circulation, better muscle balance, and assisting tissue repair and cellular recovery after injury. He has also come to appreciate the benefits of massage for such conditions as headaches, stress, fatigue and depression. Jeremy takes pride in his ability to structure his massages to suit each individual's needs.

Special Interests: Jeremy's main sporting interests are Rugby League, Cricket, Squash and Tennis. He also enjoys playing cricket, cycling, painting houses, designing travel itineraries, playing the congos, and following the Sydney Roosters which he has done for the past 42 years.

Jeremy has a particular interest in sports and remedial massage to assist athletes and workers to recover from injury and persistent pain. His techniques also include relaxation massage, deep tissue bodywork, lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, acupressure therapy and reflexology.
